I currently have about 20,000 fonts that do not need to be installed all at one time, that is why "the font thing" is so helpful. I have created a separate folder for my fonts, and I have a screen print of this file so you can see how I have them organized. This helps when I download new ones to make sure I do not have duplicates.

When you open the font thing, it automatically takes you to where your currently installed fonts are located. The ability to install and uninstall fonts is a huge advantage. WARNING: You can uninstall any that you personally have installed, but be careful not to uninstall fonts that your operating system needs which are installed when you first get your version of windows.
You will then need to "browse" to fonts that are not already stored in the system files for fonts. If you see the "file tree" on the left, this is where you will navigate to wherever you have your excess font file stored. You can store this on your desktop, in "my documents" etc, wherever it is easy for you to find it. When you click on the individual folders in the font file will show only those fonts in that file. If a Font is installed, (like the two toward the bottom of this list--2peas beautiful and 2peas billboard) there will be a little windows icon to the left of the font.
