Closing one door opening another

Look at these beautiful people! When I met this family, Megan (front row right) was in 8th grade, wore braces, was very sweet. Years later (as her mom reminded me) she drove my car when she had her permit, I took photos of her when she went to some sort of formal dance, saw her grow up. I don't think I got to see her after she went to college, then graduated, and that nice young man in the back is her HUSBAND!

Kay's son Kyle wasn't there (but heard he was in town) and I believe he was about 4th grade when they moved here. He is now at Oregon State University and Kay says HE IS VERY TALL!

I always remembered Jim's name (top left) as it was my husbands name as well. He has always been so kind and talked to me for LONG periods of time including today! He has been promoted to a BIG POSITION (though he says for a small company so sounds better than it is) but had to relocated about 5 hours away.

Kay, front left, is the key ingredient in bringing a sisterhood of crafters together in our community. I haven't seen her so much lately as I have tried so hard not to spend money. Of course that I probably way the store closed as many of us quit spending money. The last year or so Kay has been having to travel back and forth 5 hours commute one week a month so she could be at the store but also with her husband. We will so much miss her.

Reaching for the sky, never a bad thing, closing one door opening another for Kay's and her family's life. I know that they will so much be missed. Someone said to her the other day "when is your store going under..." I say, "when is your store going over...." to better things, and whatever God has planned for you.
I was waiting outside for the store to open. I put my lens up to the glass and caught this cool picture, showing the inside of the store but the edges are the reflection of the surrounding hills. I thought it was cool...someone said I should call this ...."open...open...open..." like in the old Mervyn's commercials (or whatever store that was hehe).

A few shots of the inside for the last time. The store doesn't look it but its very barren compared to what it has been.

Well, Kay and family, we wish you well and pray for your continued growth and blessings in the future. Come back and see us!
