This week I had to finsh putting together some Christmas cards and forced myself to get out the really messing craft stuff. I have been doing mostly digital stuff lately and had forgotten how much joy I can get out of actually creating something with my hands. I started out digital but finished off with rubber stamps glitter, tearing paper, all the messy stuff. But I really enjoyed it. Funny how easy it is to forget that. The joy of making something pretty that you are proud of.
What I don't miss is the clean up! Thats the rub...but all in all must say it is worth it.
Anyone else feel this way? A joy that comes from making something with your hands? Might be scrapbooking, might be a wonderful cooked dish, might be a song, or a poem. What is the reaction of your heart?

yes I like working with my hands & seeing what I can come up with enjoy it . It is nice to look @ . I also always hope that others like it too & get enjoyment from seeing it . Aj.
I always feel a sense of accomplishment and pride when I finish something that will be given as a gift. Sometimes surprise too if it turned out really well. LOL. Sometimes nerves too because some people aren't into the homemade craft thing - thats why I try to only make things for people that enjoy the homemade craft stuff. The mess is the worst part but all worth it in the end. LOL.
I too enjoy making things especially when you are making it for someone else...that is really fun. For me I enjoy scrapping and baking....the mess yuck...but well worth it in the end.
I find that working with my hands in what helps my mind stay on track. I've been doing something with my hands since I can remember. If only I could stop finding new ideas and actually finish the things I have in the house! :-)
